It looks as if HTC is teeing up to take a shot at the budget side of Ice Cream Sandwich with a brand new Android smartphone.
A photo taken by the HTC Golf - that is its codename - found its way onto the internet, revealing the existence of the device.
The HTC Golf will reportedly come with Android's latest update as standard, as well as a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 3-megapixel camera, sub-1Ghz processor, 4GB of built-in storage and 512MB of RAM.
It's not yet clear at what price we will see the Golf or when but HTC is allegedly going for a Q2 release date. We'd hazard a guess at comfortably under £150 for the device based on the specs we've seen so far.
For the aesthetically-minded, the Golf will come in a range of colours, which is very un-HTC.
Considering Mobile World Congress was a very high-end affair, with the announcement of the One S and One S superphones, it's good to see HTC hasn't forgotten those of us who don't have quite as many spare pennies.
