Those hoping to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S3 but wishing to stay a bit more local will soon get their wish. That is, in regions covered by US Cellular. The regional provider will join the Big 4, putting the Galaxy S III up for purchase on the carrier’s website starting tomorrow. The phone will find its way into the stockrooms of US Cellular’s retail locations by the end of the week.

Initially USCC will only be stocking the 16GB version of the Galaxy S III, but the 32GB model will see a release by the carrier sometime in the future. A specific date has not been named. Word is that customers with pre-orders of the device have started to receive shipping confirmation.

US Cellular: HTC One V now available

U.S.Cellular customers can today pick up the HTC One V online and the device will be in-store starting Friday. While the Android handset may be a little overshadowed by its big brothers the One X and One S, the One V, as you'll recall from our review, does pack a pretty good punch for its price, which is $129.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate . Running Android 4.0 out of the box and complemented with the latest addition of Sense UI the One V is great looking and feels wonderful in the hand. It has the familiar 'chin' that we saw on the HTC Hero and Legend and whilst its 1GHz processor may not be as powerful as the One X and One S it certainly does a good job of making things run smoothly.

You can order the HTC One V online here and we have the full press release below for your viewing pleasure.
U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) has announced that the Android™-powered HTC One V is available for customers online today and will be in stores on July 6. As part of the HTC One series of phones, the HTC One V provides a premium mobile experience with an iconic design, amazing camera and authentic sound with Beat Audio™. The device comes with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and runs on U.S. Cellular’s high-speed nationwide 3G network, which has the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any national carrier. It is available for $129.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.

Customers who purchase the HTC One V from U.S. Cellular receive benefits no other carrier offers, including new devices faster without resigning contracts and the only points-based rewards program in the industry.

“This phone is great for people who want to simplify and organize their life using one device,” said Edward Perez, vice president of sales and marketing operations for U.S. Cellular. “The high-end camera and premium audio features make it easy to leave your other gadgets at home while on-the-go.”

The HTC One V rivals traditional digital cameras with advanced features that make taking great photos easy and fun. The enhanced camera on the HTC One V provides zero shutter delay for faster image capture, continuous shooting to capture that perfect shot, better photo quality in adverse conditions and the ability to shoot video and take photos at the same time. The BEATS Audio™ integration provides a rich and authentic sound so everything from playing music to watching YouTube to playing video games sounds better. The popular BEATS by Dr. Dre Audio headsets will also be available for purchase at U.S. Cellular retail locations and online.

US Cellular Officially Announced Samsung Galaxy S II

Even more announcements have made their way to our inbox. Samsung and US Cellular are announcing that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be headed to the regional carrier sometime soon. It’ll feature a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 with TouchWiz, an 8 megapixel HD camera, 16GB of internal storage and more.

Without any 4G LTE radios, it’s possible that this could be an Exynos-equipped version of the handset, though the press release doesn’t say either way. US Cellular’s version might be very similar to Sprint’s in terms of style and features.
It wouldn’t be the first time that the carrier got phones that were exactly the same as other carriers’, save for the name and logo. It’ll be available for $230 after a $100 mail-in rebate. No exact window to look forward to yet but we imagine it will be here sometime within the first half of the year. Read on for full press details.
