Price cut of Nokia Lumia 800

Hot on the heels of the Lumia 710 getting a massive 20 percent price cut, it seems Nokia is ready to trim the price tag of the Lumia 800 as well. Online retailer Flipkart is now quoting Rs 28,499 for the Lumia 800, which is a 5 percent drop from its original price of Rs 29,999 when it was launched a month ago. Nokia yesterday announced it had sold over a million units of Windows Phone running Lumia smartphones in less about two months since they went on sale in a handful of countries. However, initial units of the Lumia 800 were plagued with battery management issues, for which Nokia released a software fix earlier this month. No other retailer has indicated about the price cut, which could mean either Nokia has just intimated them about it or this could be a Flipkart special offer.
