Apart from announcing its next generation Iconia A700 tablet, Acer unveiled the S5 Ultrabook, Timeline Ultra notebook and Aspire Z7871 All-in-One PC. Acer is calling the Aspire S5, the world’s thinnest ultrabook, and at the same time it becomes the first non-Mac to feature a Thunderbolt I/O. Besides this S5 features a very unique I/O arrangement accessible through a slide-out door called the ‘Magic Flip’. The other notebook offering from Acer, the Timeline Ultra will be offered in 14 and 15-inch variants. While Acer has not revealed any information on the processor specs of the device, they have specified that the Timeline Ultra notebooks will Intel Core i Series of CPUs, alongside they will feature Dolby Home Theatre v4 Surround Sound speakers, HDMI ports, USB 3.0 and 8 hours of battery life.
Coming to the Aspire Z7871 All-in-one Acer did not release a lot of information apart from the fact that it will boast of a 27-inch Touchscreen LED HD display, will be Dolby audio optimized alongside offering a built-in TV-tuner and a number of USB ports. Infact the most unique facet of the Aspire Z7871 is its bundled touchpad, which acts like a virtual number-pad the moment one activates the display.
