Orange will be bringing Apple's new iPad to its UK customers from the
tablet's March 16 launch date.
‘Orange will offer iPad with a range of attractive data plans that will allow
customers to connect to its fast 3G and 3.5G network with speeds up to 50
percent faster than previously available,' said a company press release.
Pippa Dunn, consumer chief marketing office for Everything Everywhere
(Orange's parent company), commented: ‘New iPad customers will benefit from the
widest 3G coverage in the UK and, with our advanced 3.5G roll out, they will
also benefit from a really fast network'
‘As a result, we're definitely the number one place to go
for those wanting the best all round performance on their new iPad,' she
added.
The new
iPad updates Apple's existing design with a high-quality Retina display,
featuring a 2592x1944 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 264
pixels-per-inch (ppi).
It also upgrades the graphics capability with a quad core graphics processing
chip and boasts a 5-megapixel camera using the iPhone 4S's enhanced optics.
Apple's latest slate will be available from Orange stores, through its
telesales service and via the company's online webstore.
