A new custom Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY is now
work in progress. The ‘Ice Cream Xperia’ (ICX) ROM is at the alpha 2 stage and
as you can imagine most things are not working right now.
The ROM boots and the touchscreen works along with data. It includes the stock ICS launcher, a file manager and overclocked CPU. However, the devs (Nickholtus, DooMLoRD, XperiaPlayer, Deanboro and DJ_Steve) are still trying to get other features to work such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Judging by the number of posts in the thread and the collaboration between them all, we expect them to make fast progress on this one.
