Android Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note coming in Q1 2012

Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note smartphones would be the first to get updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – it should happen in the first quarter of 2012.
After that, other Galaxy devices will receive the update, including: Samsung Galaxy R, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.
Today’s announcement reconfirms what we’ve previously told you: most high-end Galaxy devices will get Ice Cream Sandwich at some point next year.

Samsung was the first in the world to introduce an Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone – the well-known Galaxy Nexus (already available in North America, Europe and Asia).
